  Robert G. "Bob" Marshall (born May 3, 1944 in Takoma Park, Maryland) is a Republican member of the Virginia House of Delegates representing Prince William and Loudoun counties. Since his election to the House in 1992, he has been a staunch opponent of abortion. He ran unsuccessfully for the U.S. Senate in 2008, barely losing the GOP nomination to former Gov. Jim Gilmore.

We do not dispute that precautions should be taken when mercury is released. But there’s a big difference between mercury beads spilling from a broken glass thermometer and the amount released from a shattered CFL light bulb. Marshall, in his statements, glosses over this key distinction.
