Herb Kohl served four terms in the U.S. Senate. He is a Democrat  from Wisconsin. The owner of the Milwaukee Bucks, Kohl was elected in 1988, his first run for public office. He retired from the Senate at the end of 2012, and was succeeded by Democrat Tammy Baldwin.
