Sarah Palin was the Republican nominee for vice president in 2008. She is also the former governor of Alaska and the author of Going Rogue: An American Life. Sarah Palin's previous experience includes leading the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission and serving as the mayor of Wasilla, Alaska.
