Medicare cuts, a talking point that sticks around

PolitiFact in Washington has identified a Medicare talking point that won’t die.
We will guess that you have already heard it: To pay for Obamacare, President Barack Obama would harm seniors by cutting $716 billion from Medicare.
It's a line that began in congressional debate and got a few mentions in news accounts. That was then. Of late, this claim has been repeated by dozens — maybe hundreds — of politicians.
