This week, PolitiFact is featured on NewsTrust, a Web site that allows you to rate news coverage.

Along with our partner Congressional Quarterly and our parent, the Poynter Institute, we are taking part in a NewsTrust "news hunt" that will feature our stories all week.

NewsTrust is a cool site that allows you to rate news coverage from PolitiFact and many other outlets. You can rate whether stories are accurate, well-written, balanced, etc. Your ratings get combined with those from other readers and create a composite rating for each story.

It's sort of like when you rate a toaster on Amazon.com ("It doesn't quite toast evenly all the time but it makes a decent piece of toast . . ."), except it's for journalism.

The first PolitiFact page that got rated on NewsTrust, our John McCain candidate page, received some nice reviews. But we're looking forward to all kinds of feedback this week. Let us know if you like our toast!

Our top-rated stories will be listed on NewsTrust's Media and Politics page. To find out how to sign up and rate stories, check out this page.
