Is Whitman a porn peddler?

Things have gotten downright dirty in the Republican primary for governor of California.
In a web-only video ad, Steve Poizner essentially accused his opponent Meg Whitman of peddling smut. The ad says that as the CEO of eBay, "Whitman started a separate division that only sells porn."
It's true that Whitman created a separate division for eBay that sells porn, but it wasn't a case of Whitman introducing a new product line. Rather, it was a good faith effort to limit the online auction of adult material to adults by requiring registration and credit card verification. That's a big difference. And we rated Poizner's claim Half True.
