The Truth-O-Meter is back in the Granite State.
We've just launched PolitiFact New Hampshire, a partnership with the Telegraph of Nashua.
It is the 11th state in our growing PolitiFact network. The others are Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, Ohio, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin.
Last year, the Telegraph was part of a unique PolitiFact effort in which reporters from New Hampshire news organizations wrote fact-checks on claims by the presidential candidates. That partnership concluded with the primary election in January. Now, the Telegraph will be using our Truth-O-Meter on state and local politicians.
"I heard from several readers how much they appreciated the no-nonsense approach of PolitiFact," said Telegraph Publisher Terrence Williams. "This type of journalism gives an accurate appraisal of politicians’ records and claims. It’s serious reporting and the type of information that you won’t get anywhere else."
