In winning the endorsement of Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett in his run for Milwaukee County executive in 2011, Chris Abele pledged to work with the city on a number of fronts, including economic development.
One of his promises was to move the county's economic development office into the same building as Milwaukee's Department of City Development.
County economic development efforts are still run out of the county executive"s office. But county economic development director Brian Taffora now has office space at the Milwaukee Department of City Development, as well, said Abele deputy chief of staff John Zapfel.
We rate this a Promise Kept.
