Statements about Cancer

The Republican-controlled Wisconsin Senate approved a bill "denying veterans the right to recover their medical costs for cancers they developed while serving their country."

"Wisconsin is not as obese as the national average is. The national average, 35.7 percent of the population is obese. In Wisconsin, it's closer to 26 percent."

Access for 12,000 women to use Planned Parenthood -- "not for the right to choose," but for "basic health care" -- was "taken away" by Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch.

Says Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker eliminated "cancer screenings for uninsured women" and offered "no alternatives."
