Welcome to the newly designed home of PolitiFact Georgia.

Our partners at PolitiFact featured responsive design in this overhaul, so our site will work better on your smartphone and tablet. The Truth-O-Meter will be bigger, and our entire report should be easier to read no matter what device you’re using.

Larger, brighter share buttons are both at the start of the fact-checks and again at the end. This should make it easier to share our reports on Facebook and Twitter. Please do!

One feature remains the same: The in-depth fact checks on statewide and national politics you have come to expect from us.

Below are some questions and answers from PolitiFact about the new design. Check back as we’ll add more questions if circumstances warrant.

Q. Why the new design?

A. We wanted to make it easy to read PolitiFact fact-checks on mobile phones and tablets, as well as make it simpler to navigate around the site and read other PolitiFact content. This redesign accomplishes that goal.

Q. What else is new?

A. We’re using bigger photographs for both our fact-checks and articles. You’ll notice a longer search bar at the top of each page to type in your queries, and the results are returned in organized categories. We’ve created an alphabetized directory for our person pages, so you can easily find an individual politician’s PolitiFact scorecard. And we’ve created a similar alphabetized directory for our subjects, so you can browse fact-checks on the same topic.

Q. Do I have to do anything different when I get to the PolitiFact home page?

A. No, the website functions the exact same way, it just has a new look. You can navigate the site the way you always have.

Q. I have a question you didn’t answer.

A. Just email us. It’s [email protected]
