A second Texan, Sen. Rand Paul, just declared for president.

OK, Paul is a Kentucky senator native to Pennsylvania. But he grew up in Texas; his father, former presidential hopeful Ron Paul, was a Lake Jackson congressman.

And like Sen. Ted Cruz, the Texas Republican who beat him to the campaign trail, Paul is familiar with the Truth-O-Meter. Most recently, PolitiFact found Mostly False his claim that no Republican was polling as well against expected Democratic contender Hillary Clinton than his own self.
