PolitiFact is hiring a 1 year audience engagement fellow
PolitiFact is looking for an energetic evangelist for the truth to help build our online audience by reaching new people in new places. PolitiFact spent much of 2017 expanding outside the beltway and beyond the eastern time zone to help voters across America separate fact from fiction.
In 2018, we want to double down on that mission -- to grow readership in rural and red states. This new position will help develop PolitiFact’s social and digital strategy for the 2018 election, lead our social media efforts, assist in creating our newsletter products, and help champion our membership campaign, called the Truth Squad. If that sounds like a lot, it is.
PolitiFact is a 10-person organization split between Washington, D.C., and St. Petersburg, Fla. Everyone chips in, and every position is important. The audience fellowship is a 12-month position based in St. Petersburg, Fla. The perfect candidate is a recent college graduate with digital and social experience, some marketing chops and a whole lot of energy.
The position is based at the Poynter Institute for Media Studies. So in addition to working with a Pulitzer Prize-winning team, you'll be steps away from some of the most respected journalism teachers in the world.
