Peter Kilmartin has been Rhode Island's attorney general since Jan. 4, 2011. He is a lawyer and retired captain in the Pawtucket Police Department who, until his election, had been a state Representative since 1991.

Peter Kilmartin voted for the 38 Studios loan guarantee and his State House job was to "twist [legislator’s] arms to vote for deals like this."
