Dear readers,

The PolitiFact New Jersey team would like to thank you again for your patience during the past week after we temporarily suspended fact-checks in order to assist our Star-Ledger colleagues in covering Hurricane Sandy, aftereffects of the storm and the election.

Now that Election Day has passed our team is regrouping and getting back into fact-checking mode. We will post a story later today reviewing Tuesday's election results, and we are cranking up the Truth-O-Meter again to start looking at claims, speeches and more from your New Jersey politicians. Look for new fact-checks starting this weekend and let us know about any storm- or election-related claims that you believe are worthy of checking.

We’re glad to be back.
