The Florida Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee is an affiliated party committee formed to help elect Democrats to the state senate. The committee was formed by Oscar Braynon, leader of the Democrats in the state senate, in 2016. Jeff Clemens later became the leader-designate of the Democrats. Under Florida law 103.092, the leader of each political party conference of the House of Representatives and the Senate may establish a separate, affiliated party committee to support the election of candidates of the leader’s political party.
