Ridesharing Works for Austin

Ridesharing Works for Austin raised the signatures needed to place Proposition 1 on Austin's May 7, 2016 ballot. If approved, the proposition would require the city to accept name-based background checks of drivers for ride-hailing services conducted by the services. If rejected, such drivers would be required to undergo fingerprinting and national background checks run through the FBI.
