Krishnan Anantharaman is a contributing editor to PolitiFact. He was most recently an editor at Automotive News, where he shared the 2015 Grand Neal Award for the publication’s coverage of General Motors’ ignition switch recall crisis and helped forge a partnership with Michigan State University to sustain scholastic journalism in Detroit. Before that, he spent 22 years as a news and feature editor at The Wall Street Journal, including 13 as managing editor of the Journal’s Classroom Edition for high school students. He is a graduate of Northwestern’s journalism school and is pursuing a master’s degree in strategic communication at Michigan State. Krishnan is based in Detroit.
