Matthew Waite was the senior news technologist for the Tampa Bay Times, formerly the St. Petersburg Times, and principal developer of this site. He was with the Times 2000-11 and won state and national awards for a series of stories on Florida vanishing wetlands. He is the co-author of "Paving Paradise: Florida's Vanishing Wetlands and the Failure of No Net Loss."
