Did the owner of X, formerly Twitter, start a death clock for the U.S. president?
Not as far as we can tell.
But the caption of a video shared in a Sept. 9 Facebook post claims as much: "Elon Musk Joe Biden has 1 month left to LIVE!"
A narrator in the video goes on to claim Musk said President Joe Biden "has only a month to live considering his deteriorating health conditions" and that Musk "stood by his statement" after his comments received blowback.
An image of what looks like an oddly punctuated tweet from Musk also appears: "Biden might have Parkinsons, His action says it all."

The video, however, doesn’t say it all. Some missing information that would be helpful: when Musk allegedly said this, and where.
This post was flagged as part of Meta’s efforts to combat false news and misinformation on its News Feed. (Read more about our partnership with Meta, which owns Facebook and Instagram.)
We found no evidence that Musk said this. Looking for news stories and other credible sources to corroborate the claim, including Musk’s X account, we came up empty.
The top results of one search were a series of YouTube videos from June 2022, January 2023, June 2023 and August 2023 with captions all proclaiming that Musk had "revealed" or "leaked" that Biden only had a month left to live. The videos and captions have no factual basis.
We also didn’t find the supposed post from Musk in his X feed.
