Clickbait post promises former President Donald Trump crying ‘after losing everything.’ That doesn’t

How quickly do you like your breaking news to break?

A Sept. 26 Instagram post  claimed to show evidence of former President Donald Trump breaking down mere minutes after the fact.

"Three minutes ago Trump cries after losing everything after new evidence exposed," the post said.

But the video the post was describing showed no such thing.

It was flagged as part of Meta’s efforts to combat false news and misinformation on its News Feed. (Read more about our partnership with Meta, which owns Facebook and Instagram.)

The video is footage of the Fox News show "Jesse Watters Primetime" in which the eponymous host criticizes Democrats, not Trump.

Trump is mired in multiple criminal cases. But we found no news reports or other credible evidence to support the claim that he cried "after losing everything" because of new evidence in any of those cases.

We rate this post False.
