Richard Salit has been a reporter at the Providence Journal for 16 years. He worked in several of the newspaper’s regional bureaus covering numerous communities. More recently, he has covered health care.

Salit has won fellowships to annual conferences of the Association of Health Care Journalists and the Metcalf Institute for Marine and Environmental Reporting at the University of Rhode Island.
