A year ago this week, Austin’s KUT, 90.5 FM, launched what proved to be weekly radio visits with PolitiFact Texas about our Truth-O-Meter items.

We marked the anniversary with a cream-filled chocolate cupcake and two candles -- one to grow on. KUT reporter Nathan Bernier kindly lit the candles.

Just before, Bernier -- subbing in for KUT's news director, Emily Donahue, who usually conducts the PolitiFact interviews -- quizzed us about a claim by Republican Craig James that we rated Pants on Fire. Listen to that report along with other KUT segments on PolitiFact Texas here.

And as always, if you notice something we’re not checking, write us at [email protected] .
