Health Care for America Now is against an excise tax on high-dollar health care plans.

Here's one for the file on "politics makes strange bedfellows."

Republican Sarah Palin posted a new note on her Facebook page, saying that the people behind health care reform may have good intentions, but it's going to cost too much and raise taxes on the middle class. She criticized several aspects of reform, including a tax on high-cost health insurance plans, the so-called "Cadillac" plans, which she said would hit people making less than $200,000 the hardest . We looked into that statement and found it Mostly True.

Meanwhile, the left-leaning Health Care for America Now dislikes the tax on "Cadillac" plans, too. They released an ad that says health reform would create a "40% tax on health care benefits of middle-class workers." We found that overstated how the tax actually works and rated their statement Barely True.
