If you check the iTunes home page today, you'll find Apple is highlighting PolitiFact as one of the "New and Noteworthy" apps for iPhone and iPad.
It's a nice honor for PolitiFact Mobile, the first fact-checking app in history. It is earning positive reviews and selling remarkably well. In a marketplace dominated by games like Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja, we find it encouraging that a $1.99 app of accountability journalism can receive such recognition.
PolitiFact has won the Digital Edge Award, the Knight Batten Award for Innovations in Journalism and the Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting. Now we have a new honor: Apple considers us "noteworthy"!
The app, which has several new features that are not on our website, is available for iPhone, iPad and other devices.
