We don't typically fact-check fictional TV shows (particularly musical ones), but a recent claim on the Fox show Glee piqued our interest.
A Spanish teacher played by singer Ricky Martin told his students that they need to learn Spanish to function in the U.S. in the future: "Do you know that the U.S. Census believes that by 2030 the majority of Americans will use Spanish as their first language?"
We decided to put that claim to the Truth-O-Meter.
