Rebecca Blank became chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Madison in July 2013. She had mostly recently been the acting commerce secretary in President Barack Obama's administration.  She previously served as a member of the President's Council of Economic Advisers under presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton.
