Emily McCarter is a senior broadcast journalism student at the University of Missouri. She will graduate in May 2018 with an emphasis in News Producing. She is a producer, reporter, anchor, and production assistant for KOMU 8 News in Columbia, Missouri. She has reported for KBIA-FM in Columbia and was the news intern for WGEM-TV in Quincy, Ill., during the summer of 2017.
