Ted Cruz, among Republicans running for the U.S. Senate seat to be vacated by Kay Bailey Hutchison, likens his leading opponent, David Dewhurst, to a chupacabra in a web video we've re-posted to the right.
Cruz says in the ad that the lieutenant governor skipped nine forums after announcing his Senate candidacy in July.
This week, we caught up to Dewhurst, who said he expects to attend a forum or so a month going forward. He pointed out too that he's often stepped in lately as acting governor, a role he fills when Rick Perry is out of state.
