Do Obama and Democrats plan to fix the sequester?

To hear House Speaker John Boehner explain it, President Barack Obama and Democrats in the Senate are sitting on their hands while drastic sequestration cuts take effect.

"We've known about this for 16 months. And yet even today, there's no plan from Senate Democrats or the White House to replace the sequester," Boehner said on Meet the Press this week. "And over the last 10 months, House Republicans have acted twice to replace the sequester."

It didn't take us long to find a plan from both the White House (hint: just go to the website) and a sequester-replacement bill filed by Senate Democrats.

Boehner, in arguing his point that Democrats haven't passed a plan, lost his way when he said there is no plan.
