Steve Adler, who galloped to victory in the Austin mayor's race, wrangled with opponents and the Texas Truth-O-Meter during his successful campaign.
We rated only three Adler statements -- with his latest checked claim, suggesting San Antonio recycles much more water than Austin, coming out Mostly False.
But Adler also figured into our looks into statements by political opponents--including a Pants on Fire on the idea Adler had previously never been active in anything to do with City Hall.
In Tuesday's runoff balloting, Adler won election along with seven fresh fellow Austin City Council members; they'll all soon join three members (whose races settled out after the November balloting) in governing the city. (Ahem: We previously fact-checked one runoff victor, Don Zimmerman, finding Mostly False his 2011 claim that every time you buy a plane ticket, the government runs a background check on you.)
From any or all of them, what would you fact-check?
