PunditFact Madness Final: Brazile vs. Roberts

Cokie Roberts cruised past Amy Walter and Donna Brazile easily bested Bob Woodward to create an all-female championship round in our first PunditFact Madness tournament.

A reminder of the rules of the game. We want you to select your favorite pundit, however you determine that. Do they make you laugh? Do you agree with them most? Would you want them over for dinner?

We chose our original Sweet 16 pundits based largely on the number of times they've appeared on the Sunday news shows in 2014 -- the pinnacle of punditry.

To make it to the finals, Roberts defeated ABC News' Matthew Dowd, the Washington Post's Michael Gerson and Walter of the Cook Political Report. Brazile's road to the championship took her past Juan Willams of Fox News, Robert Gibbs of NBC News and the Washington Post's Woodward.

Here's a breakdown of the final matchup:

Cokie Roberts. Roberts is a political commentator on ABC and NPR. From 1996-2002, Roberts co-anchored This Week. According to her biography, Roberts holds more than 20 honorary degrees, serves on the boards of several nonprofit institutions and on the President's Commission on Service and Civic Participation. This year the Library of Congress named her a "Living Legend," one of the very few Americans to have attained that honor. Roberts has appeared twice in 2014 on ABC’s This Week. Roberts does not have a Twitter account.

Donna Brazile. Brazile is a Democratic political strategist and political commentator for ABC News and CNN who served as campaign manager for Vice President Al Gore in 2000. According to her biography, Brazile is the author of Cooking with Grease: Stirring the Pots in American Politics, an adjunct professor at Georgetown University, a syndicated newspaper columnist for Universal Uclick, a columnist for Ms. Magazine, and O, the Oprah magazine. She has appeared five times on the Sunday shows in 2014. Brazile has 380,000 followers on Twitter.
