Arianna Huffington and Liz Cheney represent opposite ends of the ideological spectrum, so it's no suprise they took different  positions on any number of issues.

Huffington, though, asked PolitiFact to check the record when she and Cheney disagreed about the company Halliburton, which was a contractor on the Deepwater Horizon oil rig.

"Here's Halliburton, after it defrauded the American taxpayer (of) hundreds of millions of dollars is involved again," Huffington said of the company, referring to its record during the Iraq war.

We spent several days reviewing government reports, agency audits, hearing transcripts and  news stories. We wrestled over where a complicated history should land on the Truth-O-Meter and finally rated it Half True.
