Just before the first presidential debate, President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign shared a bingo card with spaces for "Biden’s lies."

Turns out, the Trump team’s bingo card contains a lot of falsehoods about the record of Joe Biden, and we have fact-checked several already.

Here’s a closer look at the Trump campaign’s Facebook post and how accurate it is about the Democratic nominee.

The card misrepresents Biden’s stance on defunding the police

Biden has repeatedly refuted claims from Trump’s campaign that he wants to defund the police. He says he does not. His campaign platform includes hiring more officers who are focused on community policing.

The card is wrong about Biden’s tax plan

Biden’s tax plan does not call for direct tax increases on anyone earning below $400,000 per year. Corporations and the nation’s highest earners would be hit hardest.

The card misconstrues Biden’s fracking proposal

Biden’s official campaign platform says he does not want to ban fracking. He wants a ban on new fracking activities on federal lands and waters.

Yes, there was a pandemic plan from the Obama administration

The Obama administration did leave a pandemic preparedness plan before leaving office. We learned about it in this fact-check of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. The White House press secretary has even held up the actual document on the White House lawn.

The card falsely says Biden is a socialist

Biden has denied that he’s a socialist. His record has been that of a moderate Democrat.

The card misrepresents Biden’s comments about Trump’s China travel restriction

Biden did not directly say the restrictions on travel from China were xenophobic or racist.

Around the time the Trump administration announced the restriction, Biden said the president had a "record of hysteria, xenophobia, and fear-mongering." He used the phrase in response to a Trump tweet in which he described COVID-19 as the "Chinese virus."

The card is wrong about Biden’s border proposal

Biden’s official campaign platform does not mention allowing anyone to enter the United States. It says Biden "will secure our border" and call for improving "screening procedures at our legal ports of entry."

Claim about Obama-era economic recovery is partially accurate

As of fall 2015, the recovery was not the worst when it comes to jobs (and Obama was president, not Biden). But in terms of gross domestic product growth, the recovery was the slowest since the Great Depression.

The card makes a few accurate points

Team Trump’s debate night Bingo card isn’t totally inaccurate. Here are a few points that it gets right about Biden’s record:

  • In criticizing the Trump administration’s immigration policy, Biden falsely claimed that the Obama administration "didn't lock people up in cages." Reporting from the time he was vice president used that word to describe an enclosure for migrant children.

  • Biden has previously made false statements about his support for the war. For years, Biden stood by his vote for a resolution that paved the way for the war, even though he also criticized President George W. Bush’s strategy.

  • Biden campaign ads and claims from his running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris, have misled about Trump’s position on Social Security. Trump never said he intended to cut Social Security benefits or "defund" the program when he directed the Treasury secretary to suspend the payroll tax that funds Social Security.

  • In the past, Biden has misleadingly tried to recast his comments on the raid that killed Osama bin Laden. In 2012, Biden said he told President Barack Obama "don’t go" and called for him to take additional steps to confirm bin Laden’s location. But in 2015, Biden said he told Obama "go."
